BSNL has launched a new Super Star 500 broadband plan that offers free Hotstar Premium subscription. The plan also offers higher data benefits at a surprising price.

Even since Reliance's Jio GigaFiber was in its trial mode since last year, BSNL has been working on its broadband plans to draw more customers. The state-owned telecom operator is now focusing more than before on its Bharat Fiber service as well as refreshing its other broadband plans. And after JioFiber plans came out, BSNL has now moved ahead to offer a new plan for its broadband service. And this plan offers a lot in terms of benefits.

The plan is called BSNL Super Star 500 and the most important thing you should know about it is that this is available for purchase in all circles, except for Andaman and Nicobar. Hence, the plan is mostly available across the country. The plan is only available with monthly rental charges and subscribers will have to pay Rs 949 every month. And it only gets better from here on.

As part of the rental benefits, subscribers will be able to enjoy home broadband at speeds of 50Mbps if they have the Bharat Fiber connection. On the regular DSL broadband service, the speeds will be restricted to 10Mbps. However, in both the services, the plan will offer 500GB data as part of the total data allotment for one month.

BSNL is also offering a free subscription to Hotstar Premium. As reported by Telecom Talk, the plan is offering an annual subscription to Hotstar Premium, which costs Rs 999. The Hotstar Premium subscription offers access to premium content such as live sports, English movies, TV shows and more.

Also, as part of the rental benefits, subscribers will be able to make unlimited local and STD calls via a landline connection. The calls will be free to any network, as the plan details state. Additionally, the free calls don't have any time limit and one can make free calls 24 x7.

If 500GB data per month is too much for you, BSNL has also unveiled a Super Star 300 plan that offers similar benefits but reduced the data allotment. The network speeds are same - 50Mbps for Bharat Fiber and 10Mbps for DSL. The Hotstar Premium subscription is also available with this plan and subscribers will also be able to make free calls. However, the data allotment is limited to 300GB and it only costs Rs 749 per month.
