"Nobody shoots anybody in the face unless you're a hit man or a video gamer." Those are the words spoken by Jack Thompson, a lawyer from the state of Florida. Jack Thompson, in broad strokes, declared that if you buy games such as the Grand Theft Auto series and first person shooters like Counterstrike and Quake III Arena, you're going to be a terrorist, murderer, or a crime thug in the future.

Nothing can be further from the truth. Children at the tender age of seven can be easily taught the difference between fantasy and reality by their parents or another adult; and sometimes kids learn the two aforementioned ideals on their own. Teenagers are no different from children, except when reaching puberty, their bodies go through a physical change and their tempers can flare easily. Children fight just as much as teenagers.

Teenagers are bullied by their peers just as much as children are. Children usually tell grown-ups when they've been tormented. When going through puberty, teenagers are at an imbalanced stage. Many youths do get help from parents and teachers. And some aggressors get a joy out of aggravating their quarry that they don't stop, even when ordered to do so, because it makes them God.

And then there are some teenagers who are just always told to let it roll off of their back and forget about it, regardless of the number of times they've been attacked; these are the teenagers that are, by no fault of their own, at greater risk. Regardless of gender, everyone has their breaking point. No matter how many times people are told to ignore the "bad apples," they will eventually be pushed too far.
