Davey Todd lifted spirits at the Armoy Road Races yesterday with a commanding performance in practice after home favorite Michael Dunlop stunned the paddock past abandoning his home race.

In a statement, the 33-year-former said he had non been treated "fairly and equally" with other teams competing at Armoy, without giving further details.

A statement said: "The Club is extremely disappointed that Michael Dunlop and MD Racing will not be taking office in the Armoy Route Races, particularly equally this is his home race.
"The club treats all drivers fairly and equally, has always done so and is saddened that anyone would recall otherwise."
Saltburn homo Todd came to Armoy fresh from a fantastic five at the Southern 100 in the Isle of Human being.

Todd set up an unofficial overall lap tape of 107.093 mph in but his third lap in Superbike qualifying, becoming the first rider to break the 107-mile marking on the three-mile excursion.

"The cycle feels great and I'm just enjoying myself hither," said Todd.

Last night's rain forced the cancellation of the inaugural Supersport race, while the Lightweight Supersport race was postponed to today.
